Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
CacheBin is a Mac application developed and operated by COCORISE LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under the brand Tinswin. In this Privacy Policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to COCORISE LTD.
This Privacy Policy explains how the CacheBin application ("CacheBin", "the App") handles information when you use it.
2. What data we collect
We collect nothing.
CacheBin is fully sandboxed under the Apple App Sandbox and does not include any analytics SDK, crash reporter, advertising identifier, or telemetry framework. The App does not make any outbound network connections to our servers — because we do not operate any servers that receive data from the App.
Specifically, we do not collect:
- Personal identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address)
- Device identifiers (UDID, advertising ID, MAC address)
- Usage analytics or feature usage statistics
- Crash reports or diagnostic logs
- The contents, names, or paths of any files on your Mac
- Cookies or any browser-based tracking
3. How CacheBin accesses your files
To scan and clean developer cache directories, CacheBin needs to read and write within folders on your Mac. This is done entirely on-device, using Apple's standard security mechanisms.
3.1 Security-Scoped Bookmarks
CacheBin does not require Full Disk Access. Instead, when you first grant access to your home directory through the standard system Open Panel, macOS issues a Security-Scoped Bookmark. This bookmark is stored locally inside the App's sandbox container and is used to re-establish access in future sessions.
You can revoke this access at any time by deleting CacheBin or by clearing its sandbox container at ~/Library/Containers/com.sumrise.cachebin.
3.2 What CacheBin does with file metadata
When you run a scan, CacheBin enumerates well-known developer cache paths (such as ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData, ~/.npm, ~/.gradle/caches, etc.) and computes folder sizes locally. The list of paths and their sizes is held in memory and shown in the UI. This information is never transmitted off your device.
3.3 Deletion behavior
When you choose to clean a cache, CacheBin moves the selected items to the system Trash by default. Files are never permanently deleted by the App. You can restore them from Trash at any time before you empty it.
4. Subscriptions and payments
CacheBin offers auto-renewable subscriptions (Weekly $1.00, Monthly $2.00, Yearly $20.00, all with a 7-day free trial) that are processed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system.
We do not receive your name, email, billing address, payment method, or any other personally identifying purchase information. We only receive aggregated, anonymized sales reports from App Store Connect (such as total units sold per region), which we use for financial reporting.
For information about how Apple handles your purchase data, please see Apple's Privacy Policy.
5. Third-party services
CacheBin does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash reporting services. The only third party involved in your use of CacheBin is Apple Inc., which distributes the App through the Mac App Store and processes subscription payments through In-App Purchase.
6. Children's privacy
CacheBin is a tool intended for software developers and is not directed at children under the age of 13. Because we do not collect any personal data from any user, we do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)
Because CacheBin does not collect or store any personal data on our side, there is no personal data for us to access, rectify, export, or delete on your behalf. All data the App handles stays on your Mac, under your control.
If you have any questions about your rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), or any other applicable privacy law, you can contact us using the details below.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or to applicable law. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the latest revision was published. Material changes will be announced in the App's release notes on the Mac App Store.
